Arguably Nigeria’s best Defensive Midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi is a beauty to watch on the pitch. The 23-year-old DM packs the skills and abilities to walk into the defensive midfield of any top team in Europe. However, the Leicester City player has missed out on action on numerous occasions due to injuries.
Since the 17/18 footballing season, Ndidi has suffered 4 injuries, ranging from Hamstring to Knee Problems. Up until recently, the Leicester City anchorman has been incapacitated due to a tear in his abductor muscle he suffered on the 20th of September, 2020. However, the head coach of Leicester City, Brendan Rodgers announced today that Ndidi will be available for their game against FK Zorya in the Europa League later this night.
Ndidi is by a mile Leicester’s first choice for his role. His ability to make astounding interceptions and tackles has placed him side by side with N’golo Kante, Chelsea’s DM and former Leicester City player. Ndidi’s most outstanding play was against Liverpool in 2017, when he won 11/14 tackles. His ability to read the game is superior to several other DMs in the league. Also, Ndidi has found the back of Net 4 times since arriving at Leicester City in 2017, making him a versatile midfielder.
If the Nigerian superstar can be lucky enough to play for the rest of the season without picking up an injury, it’s more than likely that 5-coaches scouts would be lining up to have him in their squads.
