Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage has revealed that she brushed her teeth six times to prepare for a kissing scene in her debut movie, ‘Water & Garri.’
The Afrobeats star explained that she took this extra hygienic step to make a good impression on set. She shared this in a recent interview with BET.
“The first day on set, I had my kissing scene. I’m glad it was my first day because I just went right into it. I remember in my dressing room, I brushed my teeth like five, six times because I wanted to make a good impression. But, he was very lovely. All of the cast was. They were really, really nice,” Savage said.
In the movie, Savage plays the lead character Aisha and shares kissing scenes with her co-star Andrew Bunting, who plays Kay. ‘Water & Garri,’ produced by Tiwa Savage and directed by Meji Alabi, premiered on Prime Video on May 10. It was filmed in Cape Coast, Ghana, and stars Tiwa Savage, Andrew Bunting, Mike Afolarin (as Mide), and Jemima Osunde (as Stephany).
