Famous Nigerian singer, Seun Kuti has come out in support of Saida Boj, amidst backlash following her viral statement about only opening her legs for a man who can give her N20 million.
Boj’s controversial remark led to the suspension of all her social media accounts due to the criticism she received from fans.
Expressing his displeasure at the backlash against Boj, Kuti took to social media today, Thursday, May 30, 2024, to criticize the “dragging and negative comments” and defended her right to choose a partner based on financial criteria. He pointed out the hypocrisy in condemning Boj while celebrating similar sentiments expressed by male artists in their music lyrics.
Kuti argued that many men are capitalist and believe that women are attracted to wealth, similar to Boj’s statement. He suggested that the backlash was fueled by jealousy towards a woman who openly expresses her desires.
