On Tuesday, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu met with Taiwo Osinowo aka Boda Taiye Oniyakuya, the man behind a satirical picture of him.

Taiwo became famous a few days ago after posting a drawing of the Governor on social media.

His captioned read, “I drew his excellency, Governor of Lagos State @jidesanwoolu. I thank God for the successful work. I think his excellency will love it. I still remain the best artist in UAR.”

Taiwo’s work captured the attention of the Governor who tweeted, “So, it’s me you drew like this? I’m guessing you’ll like to present it to me, abi? Ok, come and present it to me in my office. Hmmmm…”

Taiwo handed the artwork to Sanwo-Olu today during the Lagos Youth Symposium, which was hosted at the LTV Blue Roof Agidingbi in Ikeja.

Taiwo revealed after the presentation that he had been told not to meet the Governor because the drawing he had produced was a caricature.

The artist, who was in attendance with his twin brother, was reminded that the Governor’s office is not far from a maximum-security prison.

However, Sanwo-Olu, who summoned him to the podium, assured him that nothing would happen to him, and that the drawing would be paid for in recognition of his efforts.
