President Muhammadu Buhari has condoled with the family of late General Shehu Musa Yar’Adua on the demise of Hajiya Rabi, whose death he described as a painful loss.
The deceased, Hajiya Rabi was the mother-in-law of his comrade and friend, late General Shehu Musa Yar’Adua (Rtd).
On Saturday, 10th October, the President was on an official visit to Kaduna to honor the graduation ceremonies of the Nigerian Defense Academy (NDA), where he took a detour to the Yar’Adua family house to extend his condolences to the family of his late classmate – to sympathize with them on the loss of Hajiya Rabi.
The Presidency’s Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Malam Garba Shehu, in a statement while in Abuja on Saturday, stated that the president was received at the Yar’Adua family house by the late General’s widow and daughter of the deceased, Hajiya Binta Yar’Adua.
According to the statement by Malam Garba, Buhari said the loss of Hajiya Rabi was a sad loss, and prayed Allah to accept her good deeds.
Buhari, also described the deceased, late Hajiya Rabi as having leaved a useful life worthy of emulation, and has left an indelible mark in the lives of people who were to her.
