Nigerian singer Paul Okoye, also known as Rudeboy, has sparked a debate with his recent advice to Nigerians, urging them to prioritize homeownership over renting.

According to Rudeboy, achieving financial freedom begins with avoiding rent and owning a home, regardless of the location. He emphasized that the fear of landlords is a significant obstacle to overcoming, and that owning a home is essential for gaining lifetime freedom.

Rudeboy took to his Instastory to share his advice, writing: “See ehh… No matter what you do in life make sure you work soo hard to avoid rent. Because that’s a lifetime freedom. Get yours. It doesn’t matter where or the location. The fear of landlords is the beginning of disrespect and see finish. Get yours. That will be the beginning of your financial freedom.”

Meanwhile, Rudeboy’s advice comes amidst his ongoing public feud with his twin brother, Peter Okoye. The singer’s comments have sparked a mixed reaction from Nigerians. While some praised Paul Okoye for his encouragement of homeownership, others criticized the practicality of his advice, given the country’s economic challenges.
