Lionel Messi has joined PSG after falling out with his boyhood club, Barcelona. He arrived Paris yesterday, 10th of August, and was announced by the club on their various social media platforms.
PSG grabbed the 6 times Balon D’or winner for free but will be paying him the sum of €35 million per annum.
Lionel Messi has finally reunited with former teammate, Neymar. And pundits think the PSG attack will be the deadliest in the world of football.
Messi’s official statement, released on the PSG website reads thus:
“I am impatient to start a new chapter of my career in Paris”, Messi told the PSG website.
“The club and its vision are in perfect harmony with my ambitions. I know how talented the players and staff are here. I am determined to build, alongside them, something great for the club and for the fans. I can’t wait to set foot on the Parc des Princes pitch. “
