‘Lizard’, a short film by Akinola Davies Jr. was unveiled at the ongoing Sundance film festival, marking Nigeria’s only submission this year.
The story line which is set in the 90’s in Lagos is not entirely but an inspiration from the film maker Davies childhood experience. It is about an 8-year-old girl who was removed from Sunday School due to her inability to sense danger.
It stars child actor Pamilerin Ayodeji alongside Osayi Uzamere, Charles Etubiebi and Rita Edward.
‘Lizard’ is co-written by Akinola Davies and Wale Davies (The Davies Brothers). Wale Davies is a member of the alternative musical group Show Dem Camp. He also co-produces the short film alongside Rachel Dargavel.
