Liverpool don’t consider themselves an EPL title contender this year. This is coming from Liverpool’s Head Coach, Jurgen Klopp. The German thinks Liverpool is too far behind reigning champions, Manchester City.

Liverpool is currently 4th on the 2020/21 EPL table, with 40 points, after suffering consecutive home defeats at Anfield.

Jurgen Klopp thinks 47 points Manchester City is too far away for Liverpool to consider themselves as a title contender.

Klopp says his team isn’t driven by titles and trophies, but by the determination to win matches, and invariably, win points. He says that’s what the players think. They only begin to see themselves as contenders when they are on top.

Liverpool is currently suffering a bad spell of injury problems. However, with the signing of two new defenders, Liverpool’s defensive problems may soon be in the past.

Liverpool is currently the reigning Champions in England, after winning the league last season with 99 points.
