Nigerians were thrown into an unhappy mood on Monday when Bisola Ajayi, a Nigerian lawyer, was kidnapped right in front of her home at Rumukwurushi, Port Harcourt. Her friends and family immediately took to social media to announce the unfortunate event and to beg well-meaning Nigerians and the authorities to help rescue her.
A couple of Nigerians on social media speculated that the young lawyer may have been kidnapped in relation to an open case she was working on. However, police investigations are yet to suffice to corroborate that.
Yesterday, the Nigerian Bar Association yesterday visited the commissioner of police in Rivers state regarding the missing lawyer. And it seems their visit paid off.
Just this morning, Bisola Ajayi was rescued alive by the Police force in Rivers State from her kidnappers with 2 now in police custody. She would be taken to the hospital for a medical checkup and presented to the media later in the day.
