Former Chelsea player and Captain, John Terry have indicated his bais for Kante. In an interview reported by the Sun, John Terry says Kante was exceptional and critical to Chelsea’s European title run but isn’t getting the deserved hype.
Kante has been fingered to be the next Balon D’or winner, however, football critics think a bigger name like Messi should win it instead. France’s departure from European Championship also didn’t help Kante’s Balon D’or dreams as Messi won the Copa America with Argentina.
Another viable choice is Jorghino who also won the Champions League with Chelsea and 2020 EURO Championship with Italy.
According to John Terry,
“Kante’s like 11 players on his own. What he does, he goes so under the radar. He is such a top-class player. “I’d love to go see him win the Balon d’Or or get the appreciation that I feel he deserves. “He’s such a humble guy. He just goes about his business and keeps out of any trouble. “He’s been a great asset for the football club and we are very lucky to have at Chelsea for sure.”
