The English Premier League is arguably the most competitive in Europe but Jurgen Klopp has in the past years managed to lift Liverpool above that competition. His tactical genius gave Liverpool trophies in England and Europe. However, inferring from Liverpool’s last 5 EPL games, it seems Klopp has lost his tactical book.

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool won the EPL last season with 99 points, 18 above second-place Guardiola’s Manchester City. Klopp also won the UEFA Champions League with Liverpool in 2019, beating EPL side, Tottenham by 2 goals.

Liverpool began the 2020/21 EPL season on a bright note, in a bid to retain their title. However, they had a 7-2 embarrassing loss to Aston Villa away and had to re-strategize in order to continue their winning streak.

Things have however gone from bad to worse for Liverpool in the last couple of weeks. First, Liverpool started suffering consistent injury problems. Now, Liverpool has lost at Anfield, something that hasn’t happened since April 2017.

Liverpool’s last win in the EPL was against Aston Villa, but unfortunately, that’s the only win from their last 6 matches.

Liverpool is now 4th on the EPL table with 34 points, 6 behind titleholders, Manchester United.

Will Jurgen Klopp bounce back? We’ll see.
