In honor of the one-year anniversary of the #EndSARS protest, Nigerian filmmaker Samuel Adeoye has released the teaser for his new short film, Abdul.

On Wednesday, October 20, 2021, a trailer containing English, Yoruba, and German as the languages of expression was released.

Abdul, speaking on the achievement, stated that it is critical for Nigerians to tell their tales to the world, particularly those that are veiled in secret.

“It’s imperative that we tell our own stories to the world. The #EndSARS protest of October 20, 2020, is one that has become historical and will forever linger on in the minds of individuals, who were affected and several Nigerians in and outside Nigeria. This is one of the reasons we had to tell the story through film,” Adeoye stated.

It was gathered the movie ‘Abdul,’ will premiere at the upcoming 2021 African International Film Festival, AFRIFF.

Samuel Adeoye wrote and directed the interesting short film. He also collaborated with Bathurshan Ganshalingam as a co-producer.
