Al Nassr striker Cristiano Ronaldo has set a new Saudi League record for goals in a single season.

Ronaldo’s powerful header against Al Ittihad brought his tally to 35 goals. The 39-year-old scored twice in Al Nassr’s 4-2 victory.

In addition to his goals, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner has provided 11 assists in 31 games. The previous record of 34 goals was set by Abderrazak Hamdallah in the 2018–19 season.

Although Al Hilal secured the SPL title with three games remaining, Ronaldo and his teammates will have one final chance at silverware in the King Cup of Champions final against Al Hilal.
