Reports reaching us this morning are that 7 people have been killed after a fight broke out between Hausa and Yoruba Okada riders in the Yewa North area of Ogun State.
The dispute started between the Okada Riders and Union Members after an abrupt increase in the ticket fee from N600 to N800 was implemented.
However, the fight quickly degenerated into an ethnic conflict between the Hausa and Yoruba Okada riders at the Factory Junction at Ibese.
The State Police Department from the office of the Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi said they have been briefed on the issue and are on it.
Although, the police are yet the number of fatalities.
