Romelu Lukaku has completed a record signing of £97.5 million to Chelsea from Inter Milan after winning the Serie A league title with former Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte.

Lukaku’s departure from the premier league in 2019 was born out of frustration and dissatisfaction from United fans. However, it seems the Belgian Fox in the box evolved his game to become an important part pf Inter’s title run after finishing as their highest goal scorer and player with the most assists.

But before wearing the United shirt, Lukaku first played for Chelsea after joining the Blues as a 17-year boy in 2011. Now, he returns to the same stadium 10 years late to finish what he started.

But will he perform? Lukaku returns to Chelsea is to fill a void Timo Werner was meant to fill. But the German’s poor goal-scoring abilities have drawn him back and created a missing piece in Chelsea’s dressing room.

Lukaku is clearly a top 4 striker in the world. He is fast, improved his first touch, and has good finishing abilities. That’s all a good striker needs to perform for a club like Chelsea.
