Bruno Fernandes has won his fourth EPL Player of the month award in a single calendar year, a feat no one else has achieved in the English Premier League.

Fernandes’ 3 goals and 4 assists in December sealed the award for him.

The Portuguese joined Manchester United in January 2020 and won his first EPL player of the month award in February after a swell performance for his new club. The energetic hole player changed the tempo of the game for Manchester United, forcing Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to rethink his Formation.

After winning in February, Fernandes again picked up the Award in June, November, and now, December. The Portuguese has boosted Manchester United’s game, and it’s safe to say that his individual performance is what has carried Manchester United to the Top of the EPL table, a spot that has eluded the team for a prolonged period.

Bruno Fernandes equaled Cristiano Ronaldo’s EPL player of the month awards with his fourth award. Although the new Portuguese hasn’t contributed as much as Ronaldo, his work rate proves that he’ll reach that level in no time.

The Portuguese is however not new to receiving individual awards. He holds numerous individual awards from his previous club, probably the highest receiver in his previous clubs.

It seems Portugal has now surpassed Brazil in producing good footballers. More than half of the Wolves team are Portuguese, including the coach.

Maybe, coaches need to start sending scouts to that part of Europe.

Congratulations to Bruno Fernandes.
