The Borno State government has unveiled a comprehensive list of pledges and donations made by state and national assembly members, state governments, agencies, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and individuals to assist the victims of the recent devastating flood in Maiduguri.

Following the collapse of the Alau Dam last week, a massive torrent of water inundated the city, displacing over one million residents and causing extensive property damage.

The floods have impacted more than 40,000 individuals, resulting in at least 37 fatalities and 58 injuries reported thus far.

This flooding crisis is one of the worst in over 30 years, leaving families and children without essential needs such as shelter, healthcare, education, clean water, and food.

The media aide to Borno Governor, Babagana Zulum, Abdurrahman Bundi, stated in a press release on Wednesday that not all amounts listed in the pledge report have yet been credited to the Maiduguri relief fund.

He assured the public that details of the redeemed pledges and material support would be announced in due course, emphasizing that updates would be provided daily.

Here is a list of donating bodies according to the statement.
