One would expect that after yesterday’s result between Manchester United and Southampton, a certain Manager would lose his job. False. A 9-0 defeat doesn’t warrant a sack letter in Southampton, seeing that it has happened twice under the same manager. Ralph Hasenhuttl is keeping his job, but that’s not the case for Jason Tindall who just got sacked by Bournemouth.
Jason Tindall has been in Bournemouth since 2008, serving as an assistant coach and briefly leaving for the same role in 2011 at Burnley. He returned in 2012, with the same role, and luckily became Head Coach in August 2020.
Tindall was given the vote of confidence, being an ex-player at the club, combined with his years of managerial experience with the squad.
However, it seemed that all of Tindall’s experience and expertise were insufficient to help Bournemouth.
Tindall has only secured 4 points out of a potential 18 in his last 6 games, leaving them with 42 points on 6th position.
The axe came after a 1-2 defeat at home to relegation side, Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday.
Some coaches are having it worse in the English Premier League, yet there are no threats to their jobs.
Bournemouth is eager to get back to the EPL from Championship, and wouldn’t want anything, not even a loyal Coach to get in the way.
