Wahala came knocking on Nigerian singer Zlatan Ibile’s door this morning as DJ Cuppy revealed in a tweet that he blocked her on all social media platforms and she still doesn’t know why. 

The DJ teamed up with Zlatan on the 20th of August 2019 to release a smash hit single “Gelato” and according to her it’s been 10 whole months since Zlatan blocked her on Whatsapp and Instagram even though the single was a hit.  Keep music aside she claims they were actually friends! 

When ‘Gelato’ dropped Nigerians received it with mixed reactions as they always do when DJ Cuppy drops a song. To some people, Gelato was trash; to others, it was a hit! After much criticism the DJ upped her game and dropped the “Original Cuppy” album in 2020.

At least for this one she received praises left, right and center. She claims it’s all the insults from Nigerians that led her to where she is today. Wahala for who insult no inspire oh. 

While many CupCakes have asked their queen to move on and forget about the singer, one  question still remains on our mind- what could have happened between the DJ and Zlatan?! At this point, only Zlatan can answer this question because even DJ Cuppy is seeking answers. 

Could it be because of the song Gelato? Maybe Zlatan also thinks the song was “trash”  who  knows? We will sha sit down with popcorn and wait for the drama to unfold over time because Zlatan might be coming with answers soon.
