Nollywood actress cum media personality, Wofai Fada, has officially tied the knot with her partner, Taiwo Cole, in a registry ceremony.
The legal wedding comes months after their traditional wedding in Calabar, Cross River, generated controversy online.
shortly after the traditional ceremony, Taiwo’s family issued a public statement denouncing the union.
The Cole family, in a statement, said, “This serves to notify all acquaintances, family, and friends that the Cole family of Victoria Island, Lagos, are not aware of any marriage ceremony involving our son, Taiwo Olakitan Cole; nor did we grant permission or support in this regard.”
“As such, person(s) parading themselves as new members of the Cole family by virtue of this purported event are neither known nor accepted by the family. All publications and documents being circulated about this should be disregarded.”
However, Wofai took to her Instagram page to share photos from their civil ceremony at the Ikoyi Registry.
She wrote, “Every love story is beautiful, but ours is my favourite. Legally hitched. @taiwo.cole.7 #TWOforever. #MrsCole. #2 of 3, and forever to go.”
Meanwhile, veteran Nollywood actress, Ngozi Nwosu, has declared that she will not offer free services to her home state of Abia, citing a lack of support during her health struggles.
In a recent interview with Nollywood on Radio, the 61-year-old actress recounted how the Abia state government neglected her during a serious health crisis in 2012, which led her to this firm decision.
Nwosu, who faced a kidney-related illness, stated that she has since made a commitment that any future services would require substantial compensation from the state.
