Man Sacked For Calling His Mum An Illiterate

A man has just lost his job for calling his mum “illiterate".

What a wawu!!

This is what happened.

The man’s boss called him and he (the man) was standing next to his mother. The boss, probably after hearing the voice of the man’s mum in the background, asked to speak with her.

One would expect that the man would just tell his mum that his boss wanted to speak with her, then give her the phone. Isn’t it? He didn’t do that. Instead, he told his boss, before giving her the phone, that his mum is an illiterate so she (the boss) should “please speak Yoruba to her instead of English".

My people, that made the boss mad. She asked him why he would call his own mother an illiterate. That maybe that’s how he’s been tarnishing the image of their clients. She even told him that he should have polished her instead of calling her such.

And before you could say ‘Jack Robinson’ that was how she (the boss) terminated the call and then later his contract of employment through an email!!
